The Opportunist
Competitive and entrepreneurial, the Opportunists know very well how to make good use of n opportunity and put more importance on instant gratification. Observant about others, they easily find peoples’ motivation and how to persuade them to act.

Opportunists don’t like to waste time and have the knack to be at the right place, at the right time. They are amazing when it comes to compiling information and filtering it very well, providing their readers with highly relevant facts within the right timeframe. Acting quickly, so as not to miss any opportunity, is extremely important. They live spontaneously and act speedily on a great deal whenever they come across one. Their blog is based on providing the latest scoop in news or information in that they enjoy being the first to redistribute (perhaps unnoticed) information and real opportunities. If you need something, the opportunist will know where to find it or whom to contact.

Opportunists are like journalists in the sense that they are seeking that bit of information to help them stand out. In order to enforce this feeling within themselves, they often invest in the looks of their blog. Though not highly creative, their blog layout will often be of professional quality and very user-friendly.

For Opportunists, personal branding is essential. Because of this, they won’t miss a chance to brand their name. They will almost always have a personal domain name including their name or one related to their field of competence. This helps them have more personal interaction with their followers.

Opportunists love interaction and regard them as central to the function of the blog. They usually know how to position themselves and communicate openly and directly. They are very proud of their number of followers and will always interact with the readers of their blog, but within other platforms. The importance given to social networks and micro-blogging, social events and such by the Opportunist is self-sustaining, in a sense. It helps them communicate quickly and efficiently with their audience.

Opportunists are often the first to purchase and utilize the features of new products and services. They also enjoy finding new means to simplify their work, gather more followers and improve reader interaction.

More than just a blog, the Opportunist tries to become a central information portal. Whether the subject relates to speeches given by famous CEO’s, a new technology or the latest sales opportunity, the Opportunists are proud to be the first to talk about it. Many Opportunists enjoy sharing their opinions; this is typically secondary to the information they are providing.

Opportunists do not shy from advertising, sponsoring and affiliation networks, except if it is possible that these things may negatively influence their personal brand. While they often invest in one or more of these solutions, they always keep control of their information.
